AdamsPlace Retirement Community is a continuing care retirement community located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, just 30 minutes from the Nashville airport.  Our beautifully-landscaped 22 acre campus features garden style apartment with patios and balconies for Independent Living, private apartment settings in Assisted Living, and a total of 90 beds in our Rehab and Long Term Nursing Care units.  It is owned and operated by National HealthCare Corporation, founded in 1971 by Dr. Carl E. Adams, a physician and lifelong resident of Middle Tennessee.  He and his wife, Mrs. Jennie Mae Adams, had a long-held dream of building a "campus concept" of lifecare facilities for older adults.  The entry fee format for Independent Living apartments provide access for those residents to Assisted Living, Rehab and Nursing care as people age in place and need additional services; significant discounts are available to Independent Living residents as they transition to Assisted Living or Long Term Health Care.  NHC's mission since its inception has been to serve as the industry standard for quality in senior care.

Murfreesboro is conveniently located in the heart of Middle Tennessee, and is home to Middle Tennessee State University, which provides numerous opportunities for AdamsPlace residents to enjoy the flavor of a smaller community with the amenities of a larger city. Murfreesboro boasts a charming downtown and historic city square, enhanced by the fact that we are a National Main Street community.

Amenities and Services

  • Five floor plans in the Independent Living building offer several pricing options; monthly fee covers utilities (except phone), one meal a day in our restaurant-style dining room, wide variety of activities including exercise programs in the gym and heated swimming pool, weekly housekeeping/linen service, beauty/barber shop, library, maintenance, 24-hour security personnel, covered parking, schedule transportaton, storage and complete privacy.
  • Assisted Living offers choice of private apartment floor plans, three meals a day, utilities and phone included along with housekeeping/linen service, scheduled transportation, on-site 24 hour licensed nursing supervision, beauty/barber shop and full activity programs, emergency response system, health and wellness assessments and a menu of care to meet the specific needs of individuals requiring a little help while still maintaining their independence.
