As a resident’s health needs change, Baptist Village has skilled nursing care available at Cook Health Care Center, located on the campus of Baptist Village – Youngtown. Cook, a 128-bed skilled nursing facility, offers a full-range of therapies, including physical, occupational, speech and sub-acute and special care.
A full-time social services director and full-time activities director ensure a well-rounded lifestyle for the residents, respectful of their ability to participate. Two shuttle vans support monthly social outings and resident’s appointments.
The community Chaplain oversees Bible studies and chapel services. There are arts and crafts, social activities, special events, bingo, entertainment and monthly resident council meetings. The on-site hair salon is convenient for residents to use.
On-site restorative nursing services compliment the full spectrum of therapy available. Licensed nurses are on duty 24 hours a day.
The Hoover Memory Care Centers, within Cook, a secured unit, is specifically dedicated to the special care of residents who suffer from Alzheimer’s and related memory care illnesses.
Respite and hospice services are available.
